Thank you to all the students who participated in this year's AOL Christmas Pageant. Thank you, parents, for your support. Thank you Mr. Ray Riviere for all your help with lights, sound, and supervising the students. Thank you, teachers, for all your support and the planning and practice you put in with the students. And a special thank you to Ms. Malissa Lojszczyk, who produced and directed the pageant.
Crusaders donated almost 40 new toys to the Toys-For-Tots of Laplace. We are excited to see the generosity of our Crusader families to those in need. Thank you for all your donations. We are Crusader Strong, and we are making our community a better place to live.
Our last school building is under heavy renovation at this time. The inside should be completed by the beginning of November. All school renovations, including new roofs on all buildings, should be completed by the end of November.
While going through a hurricane is difficult, we are happy that our school now has been renovated to bring us into the future for many years. Just the school portion of renovations is estimated somewhere around $3,000,000. It is a good sign for the future of the school.
The Pre-K building renovations are complete. Teachers are now ready to move back in for the start of school. The building was lost to the school last year due to Hurricane Ida's damages. The Crusader community can't wait to have all our children back. This year the Pre-K building will be home to Pre-K 2, Pre-K 3 & 4, and Kindergarten. Thank you to all who have worked so hard to make our Pre-K home like new.
The children and adults at AOL Catholic School can't wait to get back into their cafeteria and auditorium. All are ready to put the pandemic and hurricane behind us and gather again for lunch and special events in Don Bosco Hall. Work is underway. Before you know it all the bad news will be behind us. Good things and "miracles" are ahead for Ascension of Our Lord Catholic School and for all of its Crusaders.
